Parties
We, us, our refers to The Social Leaner.
You, your refers to the Customer.

Made to Order
We do not carry stock and all items are made individually on order.
We can customise a product to meet your size and colour specifications. However, additional costs and lead times may apply and a quote will be issued for custom orders.

Online Purchases
Payment in full is required for purchases made in our online store.
By purchasing through our online store, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.

Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
A 50% deposit is required up front on acceptance of the quote.
By accepting the quote and paying the deposit, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.
We will not dispatch or release the goods from our premises until the balance is paid in full.

Cancellations
A 15% cancellation fee applies to all orders, and will be deducted from the deposit or full price paid.
An order cannot be cancelled if the goods have been dispatched or released from our premises.

Estimated Completion Date
We will provide an estimated completion date within 2 working days of your order. However, delays can sometimes occur and are not considered to be a breach of contract. We are not responsible or liable for any costs or disruption as a result of such delays.

Delivery or Collection
Collection of goods from our premises is possible, by arrangement.
You are responsible for informing us of any difficult or unusual logistics that may impact delivery, such as remote locations, restricted access, tight or narrow stairs or entry ways. Extra delivery charges may apply in these circumstances.
Delivery delays are not considered to be a breach of contract, and we are not responsible or liable for any costs or disruption as a result of such delays.
It is preferred if someone is available to sign for the goods on delivery. If this is not possible, the goods will be left in a pre-arranged location. The driver will photograph the placement of the goods in that location, and the photographs will be considered to be proof of delivery.
You may arrange your own carrier for delivery. However, if you are using another carrier, we will not accept any responsibility for damages incurred during transit.

Damage
It is your responsibility to check the condition of the goods on delivery. Any issues need to be noted on the delivery docket.
Only sign the delivery docket if you are satisfied with the condition of the goods.
You have the right to reject the delivery if you are not satisfied, and the goods will be returned to our premises.
If no one is available to sign for the goods on delivery, you have 2 days after delivery to advise us of any issues or damage.

Returns
It is your responsibilty to check the goods thoroughly on delivery or collection.
If you are collecting the goods from our premises, by taking the goods away it is deemed that you are satisfied with the condition of the goods you have purchased and the sale is considered to be final.
If goods are found to be faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to resolve the issue.
We are under no legal obligation to accept a return, or to issue a refund or credit, because you have changed your mind.

Product Images
We make every effort to provide accurate images of our products. However, the actual colours and designs may vary due to factors such as device settings, lighting, finishes, oils and timbers used. Timber naturally varies in colour, grain and texture.
Due to the nature of furniture construction, dimensions may also vary by approximately 20mm.
By purchasing any of our products, you accept that there may be such variations in colour, grain, texture, design and dimensions, and that these variations do not constitute any misrepresentation by us.

Natural Aging
Timber naturally ages and responds to its environment. Over time, the colour may change and splits and cracks may develop. These natural changes are not considered to be flaws or faults.

Ownership
All goods remain our property until full payment is received and funds have cleared.
